HACCP for Catering

The Highfield International Level 3 Award in HACCP for Catering is designed specifically for food catering businesses. The objective of the qualification is to provide learners with knowledge to implement an appropriate

food safety management system based on HACCP principles.  

It is aimed at those responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) systems in a catering environment. It is suitable for learners who are already working in catering, who have knowledge of food safety, hazards and controls and also for those owning or managing smaller food businesses.

Entry Requirements 

  • There are no prerequisites for this qualification, although it is recommended that learners already hold a Level 3 Award in Food Safety for Catering or equivalent.

  • This qualification is approved for delivery to learners aged 16+.

  • Pass mark : 18/30 (60%)

  • Distinction : 24/30 (80%)

The exam is conducted via Highfield E-assessment and is remotely invigilated online at your home or your workplace.​

The exam is carried out at a set time and dates convenient to you after you have completed the training, please allow up to 5 working days for Highfield to set up the exam for you, we can arrange the exam date prior to your completion of the training if you have a specific date/time in mind



You will find out if you have passed or failed immediately and will receive an e-certificate shortly after completion which has the same accreditation as a hard copy certificate.
