The training of food handlers is a legal requirement, and the key to profitability and high standards of food safety is to ensure their competency

 

Entry Requirements

  • There are no prerequisites for this qualification. 

  • This qualification is approved for delivery to learners aged 16+.

 

Course Duration  : 7 Hours  (1 day)

  • Exam Mode : Online

  • No. of  Questions : 20

  • Pass mark : 13/20 (65%)

  • Duration : 45 Minutes

Course Content

  • Importance of personal hygiene

  • Legal responsibilities of food handlers

  • Importance of safe waste disposal, pest control

  • How to report food safety hazards, infestations and food spoilage

  • Temperature control practices for delivery, storage, date marking and stock rotation

  • Dealing with food spoilage including recognition and reporting

E-assessment

The exam is conducted via Highfield E-assessment and is remotely invigilated online at your home or your workplace.​

The exam is carried out at a set time and dates convenient to you after you have completed the training, please allow up to 5 working days for Highfield to set up the exam for you, we can arrange the exam date prior to your completion of the training if you have a specific date/time in mind

 

 

Certification

You will find out if you have passed or failed immediately and will receive an e-certificate shortly after completion which has the same accreditation as a hard copy certificate.
