This qualification is ideal for anyone working in the catering industry on board a ship. Subjects covered include hazards and controls, food safety management and temperature controls, food poisoning control, personal hygiene, cleaning and disinfection, food pests, and the role of the food handler in keeping food safe.

The HABC Level 2 Award in Food Safety at Sea  is accredited and has been developed to protect customers, brand reputation and profits.

Entry Requirements

  • There are no prerequisites for this qualification.

  • This qualification is approved for delivery to learners aged 16+.

E-assessment

The exam is conducted via Highfield E-assessment and is remotely invigilated online at your home or your workplace.​

The exam is carried out at a set time and dates convenient to you after you have completed the training, please allow up to 5 working days for Highfield to set up the exam for you, we can arrange the exam date prior to your completion of the training if you have a specific date/time in mind

 

 

Certification

You will find out if you have passed or failed immediately and will receive an e-certificate shortly after completion which has the same accreditation as a hard copy certificate.
